Color Options

Below are some color options we offer:

CMYK

This stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. This is shorthand for the colors used in 4-color process printing or "Full Color". These four colors when combined approximate other colors in the color spectrum.

4/0:

Four color process for the front side of your print product with blank back side of your printed product. Four color process is a system where a color image is separated into 4 different color values by the use of filters and screens, when transferred to the printing press and printed, it reproduces the original full color image.

For example: A business card has color images on one side and is blank on the back.

4/1:

Four color process for the front side of your printed product with black only for the back side of your printed product.

4/4:

Four color process for the front side of your printed product AND four color process on the back side of your printed product.

Folding Options

We can accommodates a wide variety of paper folding options:

Half Fold

Half Fold:

The half fold is commonly used for brochures and greeting cards.

Two Parallel Fold

Two Parallel Fold:

An excellent fold for legal sizes or larger. An 8.5" x 14" folds to 3.5" x 8.5".

Gate Fold

Gate Fold:

The gate fold is often used for menus and brochures. The succession of message presentation is more dramatic than with the Two Parallel Fold.

Z-Fold

Z-Fold:

The "Z" style offers an advantage for multi-page letters to be collated and hand inserted for mailing. Because the pages nest together, the letter is opened with the pages in sequence, however it tends to spring open and should be avoided when automated envelope inserting is used.

Half then Z-Fold

Half then Z-Fold:

When used for a newsletter has the advantage of positioning the masthead on top of the front and the mailing panel right side up on the back.

Half then Half

Half then Half:

This is a typical fold for booklet binding, pages are printed, folded and collated for saddle stitching. Fold can also be used for newsletters.

Tri-Fold

Tri-Fold:

This common fold, used for mailings and brochures, is much like a letter folded by hand for inserting in an envelope. The Tri-Fold produces a self-contained unit, easily handled by automated envelope inserters.

Printing Methods

Machines for Printing

Offset Printing

Offset printing is a printing system in which the paper does not come into contact with the printing plate. The ink is transferred from the plate to a blanket cylinder and then to the paper.

Digital Printing

These systems work directly from electronic data and avoid the intermediate stage of films. As a result, Digital Printing is very cost effective for short runs. In addition, Digital Printing features "variable data printing". This allows you to put together a database as simple as an Excel document of data that you want to personalize for each printed piece, such as names, addresses, and even personalized messages. You can personalize on multiple criteria as well. This allows for very cost effective short runs of customized and personalized printed material such as business cards, stationary, greeting cards, post cards and other direct mail.
